Earlier this year, Changepoint released a survey. Targeting project managers and project management office (PMO) professionals, we wanted to know how easy it is for PMOs to pivot using today’s technology and what’s standing in the way of PMO success.
Some key findings included:
- Multiple, disconnected systems are standing in the way of business agility
- 75 percent of respondents are still relying on spreadsheets
- The top three PPM capabilities needed are: project management, portfolio management, and resource management—supported by the fact that 43 percent of respondents claim managing people’s workloads and schedules is the most difficult aspect to project execution
